Shoe Post

These shoes probably belonged to someone who had a bunch of money. They were very unique and wanted to make a statement.

We feel like it is amazing that each and every one of the different type of shoes has a different story behind it. It is great that none of those stories are the same but can always relate to each others problems.

Preston Van Klaveren, Caleb Peacock, Cade Henry, Dirk Ross

(Preston) These look like the pair of shoes worn in the Netflix Original Series "Lost In Space." The scene when they landed in the desert and the sand was little grains of sand were made of diamonds. I would totally wear these because they look pretty comfy to wear. (Cade) These are the first of many shoes that help workers not injure their toes. (Dirk) These shoes look like they have been worn well and they were worth the money while the others shoes looked like a waste. (Caleb) The shoes look like they were worn by a hunter that fell into a vat a mud.

These shoes are super funky. They're an interesting mix of tall, green, and snake skin print. We think that someone decided to rebel against modern fashion and go in a completely different direction while making these. Maybe a designer was trying to stick out of the crowd, majorly.

These are shoes are used to crush chestnuts. Whoever wore these shoes must have felt tall and probably unbalanced while walking, but it was to help with the crushing process to make it easier. Even though they are a little terrifying, they really are just used for the mundane task of crushing chestnuts, which was a very important source of food.

The shoes of Queen Elizabeth were worn to her very own wedding. I feel like her shoes represent grace, beauty and royalty. They were clean and white symbolizing purity. The silk wrapped slip on sandals were the definition of class and maturity. They were everything a queen stands for. They were very simple yet supportive, everything a queen may need for long days helping people and making laws. Since they are shoes, they have probably witnessed the dark and light moments Queen Elizabeth encountered during her ruling. They were our favorite pairs of shoes because they represented a queen. They seemed worn and special. They seemed to have a story behind every silken strand woven into one big lifetime.

These gold standard shoes are very different than any other .

Through history, shoes have played an important part. Not only do they protect your feet, they are used for many cultural ceremonies. By looking at shoes, we are able to see the mysteries of the past.
Take the chestnut crushing clog, it served as a tools for anyone who cooks. We assume that the person who wore those shoes was a peasant who worked for a chef. While it is obvious that the person crushed chestnuts, but helped with other tedious tasks. We can assume that these task were things like gather food, and herbs, and possibly even cleaning chores around the house.
